Rohtak, Aug 4–Sending the message loud and clear that the BJP did not discriminate on the basis of caste and creed, and valued Scheduled Caste workers as much as others, the National BJP President, Mr Amit Shah, along with other senior party leaders, today visited the house of Mrs Tarawati Chahar, party worker belonging to SC, in Rohtak, and had lunch with her family.
He was accompanied by Haryana in-charge, party affairs, Dr Anil Jain, state BJP President, Mr. Subhash Barala, Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, Education Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma, Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij, Agriculture and farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankar, Minister of State for Cooperation, Mr. Manish Kumar Grover, Convenor, National Anushasan Committee, Prof. Ganeshi Lal, state BJP Media In-charge, Mr. Rajiv Jain, and other senior leaders of the party.
Lauding Mrs Chahar for serving simple but delicious meal made ready at short notice of two hours, Mr Ram Bilas Sharma said the party did not believe in any kind of discrimination on the basis of caste or creed, and all workers were accorded equal respect. Such get-togethers make the workers feel valued, he added.
Mr. Manish Kumar Grover said it had been a tradition with senior party leaders to visit the homes of party workers and partake meal along with their families.
