Polio Immunization campaign on the occasion of National Immunization Day in Gurugram.

Chandigarh, July 2 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal today launched the polio Immunization campaign on the occasion of National Immunization Day in Gurugram by administering polio drops to children below five years of age.
After administering polio drops to children, the Chief Minister also presented toys to them. The immunization campaign would be carried out in 13 districts of the state from July 2 to 4. These districts included Panchkula, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Panipat, Sonepat, Faridabad, Palwal, Gurugram, Nuh, Yamunanagar, Rohtak and Jhajjar.
Giving details about the campaign, Civil Surgeon, Gurugram, Dr. B.K. Rajora said that 3,34,065 children below five years of age would be covered under the campaign. He said that 1,258 booths have been set up and 109 mobile teams have been constituted. Similarly, 123 transit points have been identified. As many as 254 supervisors have been deputed to make this campaign a success, he added.
