State government had prepared a roadmap for filling all the 15,000 vacant posts of police personnel by 2018-RamNiwas.

Chandigarh, May 6–The Haryana Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Mr. Ram Niwas, said here today that the state government had prepared a roadmap for filling all the 15,000 vacant posts of police personnel by 2018. Besides, requisition has been sent to the Haryana Staff Selection Commission for filling 10,000 vacant posts of police personnel for which the recruitment process would soon be started.
Interacting with media persons, Mr Ram Niwas said Haryana had furnished an affidavit in the court regarding filling all the vacant posts of police personnel in the state. The Supreme Court has appreciated the efforts made by Haryana to fill all vacancies in a time-bound manner, and asked other states to adopt the same while recruiting police personnel.
Rules have already been framed for recruitment to these 10,000 vacant posts and notification has been issued regarding the new rules. According to the roadmap, these posts would be filled between June, 2017 and April, 2018, he added.
Mr. Ram Niwas said the state government had started giving weekly off to police personnel for making them stress-free. The shortage of police personnel would be overcome after completion of the recruitment process, he added.
