14,95,560 metric tonnes of wheat that have arrived in the mandis purchad in Haryana.
Chandigarh, Apr 12 – As wheat has started arriving in the mandis of Haryana, the five government procuring agencies and traders have purchased at Minimum Support Price all 14,95,560 metric tonnes of wheat that have arrived in the mandis till yesterday.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department said the procurement process was running smoothly in the mandis.
Giving details of the wheat procured by government agencies, he said that 3,75,769 metric tonnes of wheat has been procured by Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, whereas Haryana State Co-operative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (HAFED) has purchased 4,45,959 metric tonnes of wheat. He said that Food Corporation of India has purchased 2,15,216 metric tonnes of wheat, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation has purchased 1,11,912 metric tonnes and 3,46,381 metric tonnes of wheat has been procured by Haryana Warehousing Corporation.
The spokesman said that district Palwal was leading in wheat arrival where 2,09,874 metric tonnes of the crop had been procured followed by district Kaithal, which recorded 1,99,832 metric tonnes of wheat arrival. Similarly, 1,92,586 metric tonnes of wheat have been procured in Karnal, 1,32,231 metric tonnes in Sonipat, 88,246 metric tonnes in Panipat, 1,07,212 metric tonnes in Kurukshetra, 1,36,297 metric tonnes in Jind, 56,650 metric tonnes in Faridabad, 43,425 metric tonnes in Mewat, 62,648 metric tonnes in Ambala, 39,157 metric tonnes in Gurugram, 30,796 metric tonnes in Fatehabad, 24,982 metric tonnes in Rohtak, 36,256 metric tonnes in Hisar, 44,150 metric tonnes in Jhajjar, 26,600 metric tonnes in Bhiwani, 22,446 metric tonnes in Yamunanagar, 10,031 metric tonnes in Narnaul and 25,207 metric tonnes in Sirsa.
