Haryana police has arrested four members of different gangs who were involved in theft of coils from power transformers

Chandigarh Feb 17: Haryana police has arrested four members of different gangs who were involved in theft of coils from power transformers installed in the agriculture fields and in incidents of snatching from the passersby in district Yamunanagar.
While stating this today, a spokesman of Police Department said that recently the police got information that Sushil Kumar of Shampur, Sadhaura and Bahadur of Deha Basti Kansapur, Yamunanagar who stole coil from the transformers in the agriculture fields during late evening by disconnecting the electricity wires were roaming near the Dadupur Nalwi Canal adjacent to district Jail. Acting swiftly on the information, Sub Inspector Mr Mohan along with the police team rushed to the spot and arrested both the accused. He said that during their interrogation, both of them confessed their involvement in incidents of theft.
He said that while one of the accused namely Bahadur was produced in the Court from where he was sent to Jail, the other accused also confessed his involvement in a case of theft of electricity wires and motor starter from the tubewell room. The Police has produced him in the Court and initiated further investigation, he added.
He said that the police got a tip off that Mohit Bisht of Rajiv Garden Bank Colony, and Mohit Panchal of Lakshmi Nangar, Yamunanagar who were involved in incidents of snatching from the passersby were roaming near the Jamindara Petrol Pump. Acting swiftly, ASI Mr Dharmpal along with his team raided the spot and arrested both the accused. During the rigorous interrogation, the arrested accused also confessed their involvement in an incident of snatching a purse from a woman in Sector-17, Jagadhari. The police produced both the accused in the Court and started further investigation, he added.
