Chandigarh, Feb 13 – Haryana Finance Minister Capt. Abhimanyu has criticised the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and the Congress for grinding their own axe on the behest of the youth in the ongoing agitation for reservation.
Capt. Abhimanyu, who was interacting with media persons here today, questioned the INLD that did it give employment and compensation to next of the kin of those who lost their lives in the Kandela incident which occurred during their regime?
While reminding that agitation for reservation was also held during the tenure of the Congress. At that time too some people lost their lives and cases too were registered. He again questioned that did the Congress Government withdrew those cases? In case the protesters violate the law, the administration and the government are competent to take action against them, he added.
In reply to another question he said that the Excise Policy of the State would be released before March. The excise Policy would be in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Court to shift liquor vends from highways. Many teams were sent to other states to study their excise policies before making an excise policy of the State, he added.
On being asked to comment on giving benefit of 7th Central Pay Commission to pensioners, he said that a report to this effect has already been received and the Government would soon take a decision in this regard. Haryana is the first State to implement the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission. He hope that it would again be the first State in giving benefit to its pensioners.
