Haryana Government will focus on development and providing employment opportunities during the Swaran Jayanti Varsh
Chandigarh, Sept 17 – Haryana Government will focus on development and providing employment opportunities during the Swaran Jayanti Varsh, and efforts will be made to provide employment to two lakh unemployed youths through entrepreneurs. Besides, Rs 9,000 will be given as supporting allowance to the unemployed post graduates for working at least 100 hours, from November 1, 2016 onwards. A corpus fund of Rs 1,000 crore will be created for start-ups in the State.
This was announced by Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, today in a conference on ‘Growth of SME-Role of Capital Market’ organised by BSE in Gurgaon.
Mr Manohar Lal said that two tool rooms were functioning in Saha and Rohtak and two new tool rooms would be set up at Gurgaon and Faridabad. He said that the State Government is adopting the concept of cluster for the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). As many as 19 clusters have been identified for development and creation of common facility centres for testing, skill development, marketing and other necessary support. Apart from this, a Rs 1,000-crore fund is being created under the CGTMSE for providing collateral-free loan service to the small scale units.
He said that total 406 MoUs have so far been signed during the tenure of present State Government with investment proposals of Rs 6.41 lakh crore. He said that work on 109 projects has already been started. He said that during the 22-month tenure of present State Government, 60 big and 7,785 medium and small enterprises have been set up. This has attracted an investment of Rs 8,013 crore and 1.40 lakh persons have got employment. He said that the State Government is committed to making available infrastructure facilities to the MSME sector.
The Chief Minister said that Districts Panchkula and Sirsa have been declared Open Defecation Free today. Eight more districts are going to become Open Defecation Free by November 1, 2016. He said that a target has been fixed to make Haryana Open Defecation Free state by December 2017. He said that after the implementation of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Programme, there has been a considerable improvement in the sex ratio in the State. He said that earlier the sex ratio in the State was 837 girls per 1,000 boys, which has now been improved to 914 girls per 1,000 boys.
