‘National Project on Promotion of Organic Farming’at Panchkula shortely.
Chandigarh, Sept 8- Haryana Cabinet which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today approved the proposal to transfer land measuring one acre of Horticulture Department at Government Garden and Nursery at Fatehpur, Panchkula to the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, National Centre of Organic Farming, Ghaziabad to establish Regional Centre of Organic Farming. The Centre would be set up under a Central sector scheme known as ‘National Project on Promotion of Organic Farming’.
The land would be transferred on lease basis for a period of 99 years at a lease rent rate of Rs 1,000 per acre per annum for promotion of organic farming in the State and it would be profitable for farmers of Haryana and those of neighbouring States like Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir.
The Cabinet also approved the proposal to transfer land measuring six kanal seven marla belonging to Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department located at village Rampura, District Rewari to Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam to set up a 33 KVA sub station.
The land would be transferred at floor rate received from Deputy Commissioner, Rewari. The floor rate is Rs 63 lakh per acre and the total amount would be Rs 50,00,625.
