Unique exhibition of the bygone era of the Indus Valley Civilization.
CHANDIGARH-26-AUG,Saupin’s School Chandigarh , in a never before effort by any other school has created a unique exhibition of the bygone era of the Indus Valley Civilization starting from about 9000 years ago. It brings alive the daily life and the technological advances of that era in the fields of metallurgy, – use of copper / bronze / lead / tin/ gold, for tools, sculpture and ornaments. It also reflects their knowledge of ceramics for bricks, drains, containers and ornamentation. There is also evidence of some rudimentary forms of dentistry.
Artists re-creations of the Great Granary, the Great Bath , the Citadel and various other features ‘Bring Alive’ the Indus Valley Civilization which will be a unique delight for the adult connoisseur as well as young students.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Sh.Arun Sood Honourable Mayor of Chandigarh. The exhibition will remain open on 26th, 29th and 30th Aug and from 1st to 3rd Sept 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 2: 00 p.m. daily.
