Enhanced relief of Rs 12.07 crore to the claimants and the relations of deceased persons, injured and for losses to property during 1984 Sikh riots in the areas of Pataudi and Gurgaon.

Chandigarh, August 1- Haryana government has sanctioned enhanced relief of Rs 12.07 crore to the claimants and the relations of deceased persons, injured and for losses to property during 1984 Sikh riots in the areas of Pataudi and Gurgaon.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that this enhanced relief was in compliance of the recommendations made in the report submitted by the Commission of Inquiry, Mr Justice T. P. Garg (Retd.) on April 30,2016. The funds have been placed at the disposal of Deputy Commissioner, Gurgaon.
Giving details of the compensation, he said that in cases of death of 20 persons in district Gurgaon, next of kin of each deceased has been given Rs 15 lakh. In four other cases of death in district Gurgaon, while Rs 20 lakh has been granted in one such case and Rs 25 lakh each have been granted in three other such cases. Similarly, Rs 15 lakh each have been granted in 12 cases of death in the area of Pataudi. In case of two injured persons in Gurgaon, while one of them has been given Rs one lakh, the other has been given Rs 25 lakh.
He said that in 81 cases of residential property in Gurgaon, a compensation of Rs five lakh each has been granted. In 15 similar cases in Pataudi, a compensation of Rs five lakh each has been granted. He said that in five cases of poultry farms in Gurgaon, a compensation of Rs one lakh each has been given for two commercial properties and Rs 50,000 each for three commercial properties. He said that in eight cases of industries or workshops or factories, Rs five lakh each have been given in Gurgaon. In two similar cases in Pataudi, a compensation of Rs five lakh each has been given. He said that in four cases of liquor agencies in Gurgaon, each has been given a compensation of Rs one lakh. In two cases of Motor Vehicle in Gurgaon, while one of them gets Rs two lakh, the other has been given a compensation of Rs one lakh.
While referring to 41 cases of shops in Gurgaon, he said that in case of 31 shops, a compensation of Rs one lakh each has been given and in cases of 10 other shops, each has been given Rs 50,000. He said that in 13 cases of shops in Pataudi, while nine of them have been awarded Rs one lakh each, three of them Rs 50,000 each and for one shop Rs two lakh have been awarded.
He said that in two cases of Transport or Finance Companies in Gurgaon, while one of them has been awarded Rs 10 lakh, the other gets Rs two lakh. He said that in two cases of Gurdwaras in Gurgaon and Pataudi, Rs one lakh have been awarded for a Gurdwara in Badshahpur and Rs four lakh have been awarded for a Gurdwara in Pataudi.
