Make necessary arrangements to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the two-day strike by power workers .

Chandigarh, June 23– The Haryana Government has directed all Deputy Commissioners and the Director General of Police (DGP) to make necessary arrangements to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the two-day strike by power workers on June 29 and 30, 2016, and also see to it that miscreants are not allowed to stop workers from performing their duties. The unions of workers of Haryana Power Utilities have threatened two-day state-wide strike.
Stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the DCs and DGP had been directed to hold meetings in this regard with Senior Superintendents of Police and Superintending Engineers of the Power Department. They have also been asked to draw an action plan to deal with any untoward incident during the strike. Instructions issued in this regard by the Power and Home Departments from time to time may be followed, he added.

The call for strike has been given by the All Haryana Power Corporation Worker Union (Head Office Hisar) and HSEB Worker’s Union (Head Office Bhiwani).
