Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught three officials, red handed for accepting illegal gratification.
Chandigarh, June 22- Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught three officials, red handed for accepting illegal gratification and two separate cases have been registered against them under sections 7 and 13 of Prevention of Corruption Act at Bureau’s Police Stations in Gurgaon and Rohtak.
While giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Bureau said that Ram Parshad Saini, Junior Engineer, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, Ferozepur Jhirka was caught while accepting illegal gratification of Rs 5,000 from Irfan, a resident of Raighat, district Mewat in lieu of change of electricity transformer. A case has been registered against him at Bureau’s Police Station in Gurgaon.
He said that in another case, Balkesh Singh, Inspector and Angrez Singh, Sub Inspector, Food and Supplies Department, Matlauda, in district Panipat were caught while accepting bribe of Rs 32,000 from Sushil Kumar, a ration depot holder at village Bholi.
He said that they accepted the bribe in lieu of filing a complaint lodged against him. Further investigation of the cases is in progress, he added.
