Driverof HaryanaRoadwayes bus suspended for talking on mobile while driving.
Chandigarh, June 9 – Following the directions of Haryana Transport Minister, Mr. Krishan Lal Panwar, a driver of State Roadways bus has been placed under suspension for talking on his mobile phone while driving. Also a departmental enquiry has been ordered.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Transport Department said action was taken on the basis of a complaint made by one Jai Bhagwan, who said that Sudeep Kumar, the driver of the State Roadways bus, in which he was travelling from Chandigarh to Delhi, was talking on the mobile phone between Karnal and Madhuban and was also careless while driving. The bus bears registration number HR 63B-7116.
He said that Mr. Panwar had been receiving complaints regarding use of mobile phones by the drivers while driving, which posed threat of road accidents. Therefore, keeping in view safety of passengers, he had recently issued necessary directions to officers of the department to caution drivers.
