Haryana’s first dairy plant for ‘desi’ cow milk in Kurukshetra.

Chandigarh, May 31 – Haryana’s first dairy plant for ‘desi’ cow milk will be in Kurukshetra and Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, would inaugurate it next month.
This was stated by Cooperation Minister, Mr. Bikram Singh Yadav, who was surveying the Kamdhenu Godham in district Mewat today.
He said that the State Government was working on a proposal to purchase ‘desi’ cow milk at a higher rate than buffalo milk, which would encourage cow-based economic development. He said that various products prepared at the upcoming plant would be exported to other states, which would be a revolutionary step in conservation and promotion of ‘desi’ cow.
He said that steps were being taken to open ‘Gochardham’ in the State and a ‘Gokuldham’ would be opened in every village of the State, for which the expenditure would be borne equally by the Central and State Governments.
He said that the Government was providing 50 per cent subsidy for rearing ‘desi’ cow.
