Haryana Government has decided to raise the retirement age of Government doctors to 65 years.

Chandigarh May 31 – Haryana Government has decided to raise the retirement age of Government doctors to 65 years.
While stating this here today, the Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij said that a decision to this effect has been taken following the announcement made by the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi in Saharanpur recently that retirement age of government doctors would be raised to 65 years.
He said that the decision would benefit 312 doctors including 57 Medical Officers, 159 Senior Medical Officers, four Principal Medical Officer, 78 Civil Surgeons and Deputy Civil Surgeons, 13 Deputy Directors and Directors and one Director General Health in the State.
He said that keeping in view the shortage of doctors, the Haryana Government had already decided to raise the retirement age of doctors from 58 to 62 years and the process was on to implement this decision.
