Departmental action against 15 Gazetted Officers and six Non-gazetted Officers.

Chandigarh, May 24- Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has recommended departmental action against 15 Gazetted Officers and six Non-gazetted Officers in investigations conducted recently.
While giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Bureau said that the Bureau has also caught 13 officers and officials red-handed while accepting illegal gratifications ranging from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 20,000, recently. Cases have been registered against them under Prevention of Corruption Act.
He said that Constable Chap Singh, Gunman of ACP, Narayan Singh of Pataudi was caught while accepting a bribe of Rs. 20,000 and one blanket on behalf of the ACP. Exemptee Assistant Sub Inspector (EASI) Sant Ram, Police Post Samalkha City, Police Station, Samalkha, Panipat and Suresh Kumar, Peon, posted on deputation from Education Department, Sadar Kanoongo Branch, office of Deputy Commissioner, Panipat were also caught while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 each in separate cases.
He said that Dharambir Singh, Lineman, Sub-division and Suresh Kumar, Assistant Lineman, Sub-division, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN), New Palam Vihar, Gurgaon were caught taking a bribe of Rs 8,000. Dr Vinod Kumar, Medical Officer/Surgeon and Naresh Kumar, Peon, contractual employee, Civil Hospital, Jhajjar were caught taking a bribe of Rs 7,000.
He said that ASI Hari Parkash, Incharge, Police Post, Education City, Rai, Sonepat and Krishan Kumar, Information Assistant, posted at Primary Health Centre, Daulatpur, Hisar were caught taking bribe of Rs 3,500 each, in separate cases. Ran Singh, Halqa Patwari, village Saunta, Ambala and Ram Pal, Halqa Kanoongo, village Saunta, Ambala were caught taking bribe of Rs 3,000.
Hari Om, Canal Patwari, office of Executive Engineer, Irrigation, Gohana, Sonepat and Ajit Singh, Head Teacher, Middle School, Garhi Alawalpur, Rewari were caught taking bribe of Rs 2,000 each, in separate cases, he added.
