Today, 745 no.of beneficiaries submitted their filled application forms in the camps itself.
Chandigarh, 23rd May, 2016: On the 5 th day of camps being organised by the Department of Food & Supply and Consumer Affairs & Legal Metrology,U.T., Chandigarh,a total of 1952 people visited to all the 40 camps running in various parts of the city.Today, 745 no.of beneficiaries submitted their filled application forms in the camps itself.
Till date,7630 number of application forms have been distributed free of cost among people of all areas and in return,a total of 1725 beneficiaries have submitted their forms back in the camps. In addition to this,a list of 1203 identified persons/families belonging to LC-4 has also been provided in the concerned camp.These 1206 families are being provided special assistance for inclusion to avail benefits under DBT.
Other than this,those families who have not linked their Aadhar in bank accounts & whose foodgrains’ subsidy is not being transferred are also being motivated to Aadhar link their bank accounts.For the purpose,the newly established Consumer Helpline has been playing an active role as phone calls are being made to these beneficiaries to inform them.
