Magnificent war memorial of international-level was being constructed over an area of 22 acres in Ambala Cantt.

Chandigarh, May 15 – Haryana Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij, said that a magnificent war memorial of international-level was being constructed over an area of 22 acres in Ambala Cantt. All aspects of the revolution of 1857 would be depicted in this memorial.
The Minister was speaking after laying the foundation stone of a dharamshala and training centre being constructed by Guru Nanak Mission Library Committee in Ambala Cantt. today. Sewing-cutting training for girls, charitable dispensary, physiotherapy centre and facilities for other social activities would be provided in this centre.
Mr. Vij, who represents the Ambala Cantt. assembly constituency, said that the sub-committee of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha had recommended that Ambala Cantt. be granted the status of sub-division.
He said that the issue of registry in Excise Area had been resolved and a new vegetable, grain and fodder mandi had been constructed over an area of 32.6 acres. He said that two rehri markets would be set up and sheds and other facilities would be provided. He said that the Rs 200 crore scheme to provide sewerage facility in new and old areas of Ambala Sadar and all villages under the Municipal Corporation had been given the final form. Apart from this, Rs 38 crore have been approved for supply of adequate canal water, he added.
