24 nominations filed for elections to the Municipal Councils-Sharma.

Chandigarh, May 6 – As the process to file nomination papers for General Elections to 15 Municipal Councils and 28 Municipal Committees as well as bye-elections has begun, 36 nominations have been filed on the first day of filing of nomination papers.
While stating this here today, Haryana State Election Commissioner Mr Rajeev Sharma said that 24 nominations have been filed for elections to the Municipal Councils. These included six nominations each for Jind and Thanesar, five for Hansi, two for Palwal and one each for Fatehabad, Sohna, Narwana, Kaithal and Gohana.
He said that 12 nominations have been filed for elections to Municipal Committees, including two each for Barwala, Gharaunda and Shahabad, and one each for Ratia, Safidon, Cheeka, Taraori, Samalkha and Kalanwali, he added.
