Capital of kingdom of Banda Bahadurto be developed-Manoher Lal.

Chandigarh, April 20 – With a view to develop Lohgarh , the erstwhile capital of the capital of kingdom of Banda Bahadur and boost tourism in the region, Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, today announced a slew of projects for Lohgarh in district Yamunanagar. These included a 3-kilometre road connecting Adi Badri, the point of origin of Saraswati river, with Lohgarh, and construction of a dam to ensure year-round supply of water to Lohgarh.
The Chief Minister was addressing the gathering after visiting Gurudwara Lohgarh Sahib in district Yamunanagar and reviewing the development works being carried out in the area.
On this occasion, Mr. Manohar Lal also announced that a two-kilometre long road and bridge connecting village Bhagwanpur and Lohgarh would be constructed on Som river. More development works would be carried out to develop Lohgarh as a tourist location, he added.
All praise for the natural beauty of Lohgarh, the Chief Minister expressed his desire to get a memorial to the brave warrior built at this location on the pattern of the one at Chappar Chiri in Punjab.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Mr. Bakhshish Singh Virk, also spoke on this occasion.
Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. R.K. Khullar, was also present on the occasion.
