Kavita Jain today paid surprise visit to the office of Municipal Corporation (MC), Panchkula

Panchkula, November 20 – Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister Mrs Kavita Jain today paid surprise visit to the office of Municipal Corporation (MC), Panchkula and checked the attendance register of officers and employees. During the inspection, officers and employees of MC office were found present.

          Mrs Jain inspected the registers and files of MC office and also took stock of developmental works. She directed the officers to pay attention to the works of people and improve their work functioning. Mrs Jain issued directions to complete the entries in property register alongwith survey, which was not done after year 2010.

          The Urban Local Bodies Minister appreciated the patchwork done on roads by MC and issued directions for the repair of internal streets. She said that tender  for  works amounting to Rs 35 crore has been floated and after approval of this, developmental works would be further accelerated.

          Mrs Jain said that for the facility of people, the Right to Service Chart had been prepared by MC, which provides the general public with the facility of birth certificate, death certificate and marriage certificate etc. She directed the officers for timely payment of bills by the contractors and take appropriate action against those contractors  in  whose work irregularities are found during inspection. She asked the officers to ensure cleanliness in cities.
