Gas cylinder blast in Himshikha colony of Pinjore district Panchkula
Panchkula,12- November –Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has described the incident of gas cylinder blast which took place in Himshikha colony of Pinjore district Panchkula near here yesterday, as tragic and announced to give Rs one lakh each for treatment to severely injured persons and Rs 50,000 each to others who have sustained injuries in this incident.
Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula, Mr. Vivek Atray today visited Himshikha Colony and examined the causes of the incident. Mr. Atray assured the injured persons of providing every possible help for treatment through District Red Cross Society. Though the incident took place in house number 349 of the Colony, but it caused damage to adjoining houses 348 and 350 and other houses including 335, 336, and 337. The Deputy Commissioners also took notice of these houses. He said that after police investigation, the assessment of loss to houses would be got conducted by the Public Works (Building and Roads) Department.
The Deputy Commissioner enquired about the condition of injured who were undergoing treatment at General Hospital, Panchkula and PGIMER, Chandigarh and added that the Administration would ensure that they get better treatment.
Mr. Atray said that six people have been severely injured whereas more than 12 people have sustained injuries in this incident. He asked the people present to be aware of short-circuit etc so as to avoid any untoward incidents in future.
