Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki congratulated the people on occasion of festival of lights, Diwali

 

Chandigarh November 10: Governor Haryana, Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki congratulated the people on the auspicious occasion of festival of lights, Diwali. In a message issued on the eve of Diwali, he urged the people belonging to all communities to celebrate this festival joyfully thus further strengthening the bonds of love, amity and goodwill. He further urged them to avoid extravagance and firecrackers. He said that the festival of lights symbolizes the victory of peace over conflict, good over evil, light over darkness.

            The Governor has conveyed his good wishes for all-round prosperity and bright future of the people. He wished that the Festival may usher in all blessings, happiness and prosperity in the State of Haryana, Punjab and UT Chandigarh.

            Prof. Solanki further said that the festival of Diwali reminds us the moral life of Lord Sri Rama who returned to Ayodhya on this day after 14 years banishment and a victory over Lanka. We should resolve to follow the morals and principals of Lord Rama on the day, he added.
