Budget allocation of Fisheries Department increased
Chandigarh, October 14 – Haryana Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Mr. O.P. Dhankar said that budget allocation of the Fisheries Department has been increased from Rs five crore to Rs 16 crore so as to promote the blue revolution and to make fisheries a profitable business. Besides this, a centre of excellence for shrimp culture in saline water on 17 acres of land would be set up in district Jhajjar in collaboration with Vietnam.
Mr. Dhankar was addressing the people after inaugurating newly constructed building of Directorate of Fisheries Department constructed at a cost of Rs 2.28 crore at Panchkula today.
