(HSIIDC) will soon start water supply projects in its IMT Manesar

Chandigarh, October 5:  In order to increase potable water supply and to provide safe drinking water to the entrepreneurs of sprawling Industrial Model Township at Manesar, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Corporation (HSIIDC) will soon start water supply projects in its IMT Manesar as National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB), Delhi has sanctioned financial assistance of Rs.155.65 crore for the same.

          Disclosing this here today, Mr Sanjeev Kaushal, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and also Chairman of the Corporation informed that the decision was taken in the meeting of the Board of Directors of HSIIDC held recently. He further informed that the Corporation has decided to refurbish the existing infrastructure of water supply in its industrial model township at Manesar. Being the show window of HSIIDC, special attention is being given to IMT Manesar. Work on the augmentation of the existing water supply would soon be executed after the release of loan amount.

       He further informed that IMT Manesar is the flagship industrial park of Haryana and a show window for rest of the world with regard to its truly International Infrastructure. The State-of-the- art-Industrial Model Township has been developed by HSIIDC.  Some of the prestigious companies in IMT, Manesar are: Denso, Johnson Mathey, Napino Auto, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters, Norcool, Baxter, Mitsubishi, Stanley, Munjal Showa, NTF, Machino TSK Nippon, Automotive Research Association, Pricol, Nagata India, Yamuna NHK, Sunbeam Steel, Toyota Kirloskar, Suzuki Metal India Samsung and Standard Diagnostic Inc.  Six hundred acres of land has also been allotted to Maruti Udyog Limited for the expansion of its existing project and a Diesel Engine Unit for captive consumption. In order to meet the growing demand of the investors, additional land has been acquired for the township.

       HSIIDC is also developing a technology park at IMT, Manesar spanning an area of around 140 acres under the campus development norms. The Corporation has already allotted land to reputed companies for setting up their projects in this park.  Prominent amongst these are: Agilent Technologies, HCL Techno parks, Shapoorji Pallonji and Primrose Projects Pvt. Ltd. (Bharti Group). The technology part is likely to generate direct employment opportunities for trained professionals and also indirect employment opportunities.

       The Industrial Model Township has been developed with most modern infrastructure facilities which can claim to be matching International Standards. The infrastructure work pertaining to construction of roads, public health works comprising water supply, sewerage, storm water drainage and electrical infrastructure etc. have already been completed.
