Chandigarh, September 21 – Haryana Renewable Energy Department has invited applications for State Level Energy Conservation Award for the year 2014-15 latest by October 15, 2015.
While giving this information today, Minister of State for Renewable Energy, Mr. Nayab Singh Saini said that the Department has invited applications in categories like large scale industries, small scale industries, buildings of government and semi government, municipal committee, municipal corporations, government hospitals, educational institutions and commercial buildings like hotels, shopping malls, plazas etc.
He said that the Large Scale Industries having connected load more than 1 MW, would get Rs two lakh as first prize. Similarly, second prize winner would get Rs one lakh and third prize winner would get Rs 50,000. He said that Small Scale Industries having connected load upto one MW would get Rs one lakh as first prize and Rs 50,000 as second prize. Apart from this, buildings of government and semi government, municipal committee, municipal corporations, government hospitals would get first prize of Rs two lakh, second prize of Rs one lakh and third prize of Rs 50,000.
Mr. Saini said that first prize for educational institutions would be Rs one lakh, second prize would be Rs 50,000 and third prize would be Rs 25,000. Similarly, the first, second and third prize for commercial buildings category would be Rs two lakh, Rs one lakh and Rs 50,000 respectively. All prize winners in these categories would also a certificate and shield, he added.
He said that those promoting Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) Star rated buildings would also be awarded. They would get Rs five lakh as first prize, Rs four lakh as second prize and Rs three lakh as third prize. Also, certificates would be given to each of them. He said that there are two prizes of Rs 50,000 each for individuals who have made New Innovation or Technology Augmentation in Renewable Energy or Energy Conservation and demonstrated the same.
Only those applications which would be duly verified from the concerned Additional Deputy Commissioner would be considered. The award performa can also be downloaded from website www.hareda.gov.inand further information in this regard is also available on the website, he added.
Chandigarh, September 21: The Governor of Haryana & Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki released a the Punjabi edition of autobiography of Swami Paramhans Yoganand Ji at Tegore Theater here today. The autobiography “An Autobiography of a Yogi” was translated by Swami Shraddhananda Ji in Punjabi .
Speaking on the occasion the Governor said that 21th centenary is of technology as well as of Yoga. Yoga is not just about fitness or exercise; it is about changing one’s lifestyle and helps in attaining spiritual goal also, he added.
Governor said that, yoga got a strong leg up on the world stage when Prime Minister of India, Sh. Narender Modi called for observing an International Yoga Day, describing the ancient science as “India gift to the world.”
Prof. Solanki said today yoga is enjoying rising popularity in the country and abroad. He said in the end of 19th century Swami Vivekanand spread the knowledge of yoga, Vedanta and spiritual values of India in western countries and that was succeeded by Swami Paramhans Yoganand Ji.
Swami Shraddhananda Ji also addressed the gathering. Vivek Atrey DC, Panchkula presented vote of thanks.

Chandigarh, September 21 – Haryana Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij said that with a view to prevent spread of dengue, medicines and equipments for conducting various tests have been provided in all hospitals of the state. He said that despite this if doctors commit any negligence then strict action would be taken against them.
Mr. Vij today made a surprise visit to Badshan Khan General Hospital, Faridabad. During his visit, he reviewed the treatment facilities being given to dengue patients there. Later, he interacted with dengue patients and their family members and enquired about their health. He also assured them of providing good treatment facilities. He said that the Health Department is fully capable to deal with outbreak of dengue.
The Health Minister also visited NCR areas affected with dengue and directed the local administration to take adequate steps to prevent spread of dengue. In this direction, he held a meeting with all officers of district Faridabad and directed them to take make every possible effort to control spread of dengue and malaria. Mr. Vij also checked the emergency ward, toilets, OPD, dengue ward, general ward and laboratory of the hospital.
The Health Minister directed Civil Surgeon, Dr. Gulshan Arora and other doctors of the hospital and staff members to be present on duty in uniform alongwith their name plates so that anybody could easily identify the doctors.
When Mr. Vij came to know about delay in operation of a patient who had injury in his foot, he directed Civil Surgeon to immediately send report against Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. R.S. Gaur and also sought explanation from Dr. Virender Yadav and Dr. Vinay Yadav for dereliction in duty. He also directed the Civil Surgeon, Chief Medical Officer and other concerned doctors to further improve the health services.
Chandigarh, September 21- In Haryana, the Atal Kheti Baadi Khata Yojana (AKBKY) and Haryana FoodNet programme would be parallel initiatives.
This was informed in a meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary, Mr D S Dhesi here today to review the implementation of AKBKY and Haryana FoodNet programme.
It was informed in the meeting that work on these schemes is expected to begin from the month of November after getting approval of technical committee and finance committee and it would be completed in 15 months. The data from AKBKY would be synchronized and converged with the Haryana FoodNet, which would be helpful in streamlining of the subsidy management.
Also, it was informed in the meeting that the government has initiated the AKBKY for facilitating economic management of the farming community where initial core tasks like establishing a database of farmers and issuance of digitalized cards would be taken up. All agricultural activities of farmers would be recorded under AKBKY.
Chandigarh, September 21 – Haryana State Election Commission has directed all the Deputy Commissioners-cum-District Election Officers (Panchayat) that the nominations for second phase election of Panches, Sarpanches and Member Panchayat Samitis would be received as per the orders of the Supreme Court of India.
While giving this information today, a spokesman of the Commission said that receipt of the nomination paper for second phase of elections would be issued with remarks “Nomination received subject to outcome of W.P.C 671 of 2015 pending in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India”.
Chandigarh, September 21 – Haryana State Election Commission has changed the time of scrutiny of nomination papers from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. onwards. Therefore, scrutiny would be done on September 22, 2015 from 3 p.m. onwards.
While giving this information today, a spokesman of the Commission said that all the Deputy Commissioners-cum-District Election Officers (Panchayat) have been informed about the time change and also they have been asked to bring this change of time into the notice of all the Returning and Assistant Officers and concerned staff immediately.
Chandigarh, September 21 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has doubled the scholarship amount being given to cadets of Sainik Schools at Kunjpura and Rewari. Now, they would get Rs 50,000 annually as scholarship instead of Rs 25,000. Also, he gave approval to increase their diet allowance from Rs 25 to Rs 75 per day. With this decision, the cadets of both schools would get benefit of more than Rs 3.62 crore every year.
The Chief Minister was presiding over a review meeting of functioning of Sainik Schools here today. Principal of Sainik School, Kunjpura, Col. Y.S. Parmar and Principal of Sainik School, Rewari, Gp. Capt. Rajiv Sharma gave presentation of the activities being undertaken by their respective schools.
The Chief Minister said that it was the priority of the government to provide quality education, be it in government schools or private schools. He said that the Sainik Schools could act as inspiration to other schools. Therefore, the Sainik Schools should also invite government schools for visiting their campus as the learning methodology and environment there was different and more disciplined.
In the meeting, a sum of Rs 2.5 crore has been approved for completing the pending works of first phase of Sainik School, Rewari and Rs 10.17 crore for second phase. Apart from this, approval of Rs 23 crore has also been given for construction of hostel building. The Chief Minister said that the hostel should have been set up at the time when administrative block was set up.
The Chief Minister also directed the Public Works (Building and Roads) Department to explore possibilities of alternative systems based on modular design for construction of hostel building.
In the meeting, approval was also given to fix the income limit of parents for providing scholarships to students. The income limit should be 1.60 lakh, two lakh, 2.5 lakh and three lakh. It was also informed in the meeting that 656 students were studying in Sainik School, Kunjpura and 468 students in Sainik School, Rewari.
Chief Secretary, Mr. D.S. Dhesi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, Mr. P.K. Das, Secretary, Rajya Sainik Board, Brig. S.C. Rangi, Wing Commander S.K. Rai and other officers were also present in the meeting.
Chandigarh, September 21 – Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain has issued necessary directions to all concerned officers of the Department to ensure strict compliance of the special campaign being run to prevent spread of dengue.
Mrs. Jain directed them to ensure cleanliness and to carry out an awareness campaign on war footing to apprise the people in this regard. She said that they should also make arrangements of fogging in coordination with concerned departments at such places where there was possibility of growth of mosquitoes.
She said that the officers should ensure that there should be no water logging and all water tanks were covered. Also, adequate quantity of kerosene oil or petrol should be poured at such places where it was not possible to drain water. She said that there should be no water logging in flowerpots, drains, streets and roads etc so as to prevent the mosquito breeding.
Chandigarh, September 21- Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught Ravinder Kumar, Junior Engineer posted at Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, Fatehabad red-handed while accepting illegal gratification of Rs 8,000 from Tarun Kumar, resident of Fatehabad for electric connection of shop.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Bureau said that a case was registered against the accused under sections 7, 13 and 49 of Prevention of Corruption Act at the Bureau Police Station in Hisar on September 18, 2015. He was trapped and arrested by Inspector Vishnu Parsad, State Vigilance Bureau, Hisar Range, Hisar in the presence of Naib Tehsildar, Fatehabad.
