Nomination being received in large numbers

Chandigarh, September 18 – On the basis of information received from 13 districts of Haryana, a total of 735 nominations have been received for Member Zila Parishad on the fourth day of filing nomination papers for Panchayat Elections-2015. These 735 nominations included nominations of 455 male and 280 female.

        While giving this information today, Haryana State Election Commissioner, Mr. Rajeev Sharma said that 925 nominations have been received for Member Panchayat Samiti which included nominations of 602 male and 323 female. Similarly, 1139 nominations have been received for Sarpanches which included nominations of 732 male and 407 female and 2151 for Panches which included 1440 male nominations filed by and 771 female.

Chandigarh, September 18 – Haryana Government has implemented the Transparent Recruitment Process (TRP) for direct recruitment in Haryana Police.

        Giving this information today, Director General of Police, Mr. Yash Pal Singal said that for this the government has amended the relevant recruitment rules with a view to provide for a fair, impartial, transparent, objective, tamperproof, scientific, merit-based and technology driven selection process which was able to withstand judicial scrutiny in accordance with the recommendation of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. TRP has a well defined procedure adequately reinforced by scientific technology. The technology involved in the selection process include online receipt of application, biometric and barcode technology to tackle impersonations, radio frequency identification device chip timing technology for physical screening test to ensure accuracy, optical mark recognition technology for marking answer sheets of knowledge test; standardized digital physical measurement devices with display monitors and interface with the computer for automatic data entry, CCTV and videography of selection process and provision to keep candidates informed about his achievements or status every stage of the selection process.

He said that against 7000 posts of constables advertised recently, Haryana Staff Service Commission has received approximately two lakh online applications during the last 10 days. Out of these, eight to ten per cent candidates were having graduation or post graduation educational degrees.

        He said that with the use of modern technology and just five marks for the interview test out of total 100 marks, the entire recruitment process would be totally merit based and fully transparent.

​Chandigarh, September 18 – Mrs. Moorti Devi (85 years) mother of Haryana Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh breathed her last today and her mortal remains were consigned to flames at village Behrampur, about four kilometers away from Gurgaon. Haryana Chief Minister Mr Monohar lal specially came to Gurgaon to offer condolences to the bereaved family and participated in the cremation. Late Mrs. Moorti Devi was not well for last about six months.

        While consoling Rao Narbir Singh and his bereaved family, the Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal said that no one in the world can take place of mother, who is a symbol of God for her children. But, since one who is born has to leave this world one day and life span of every living being is fixed by the Almighty.

        Late Mrs. Moorti Devi is survived by four daughters and two sons. Her eldest son Rao Narbir Singh is Cabinet Minister for Public Works and Environment and Forests Departments in the present Haryana Government. Her younger Son Rao Kamalvir Singh is State President of Janta Dal (United). As per the ritual, the funeral pyre was lit by eldest son Rao Narbir Singh. His father Late Rao Mahavir Singh, had been minister in Haryana, expired in 1982 due to heart attack. Rao Narbir Singh’s grandfather Rao Mohar Singh was a great educationist who was elected MLA twice in Joint Punjab.

Chandigarh, September 18 – Haryana Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij said that the government has decided to provide relaxation to doctors for getting posted in their home districts. With this decision, doctors would be able to provide services in their home districts.

        The Health Minister said that the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has also given approval for this. He said that doctors of Health Department had been raising this demand from a long period that they should be posted in their home districts so that they would be more focused towards their duties and also be able to give time to their families.

        Mr. Vij said that with a view to increase the efficiency of newly appointed doctors, they would be posted in district or Sub Divisional Hospitals for first two years of their service so that they could learn from their seniors. After that, they could render their two years of services in rural health centres. This would further improve health services in the state and people would get better treatment, he added.

Chandigarh, September 18 – According to the statistics of Haryana Health Department, 630 cases of dengue have been reported and death of one person has been confirmed.

        While giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Department said that being close to Delhi, the maximum number of dengue cases has been reported in Gurgaon. Similarly, 76 cases have been reported in Kaithal, 58 in Hisar, 55 Jhajjar, 39 in Karnal, 35 in Kurukshetra, 28 in Sirsa, 23 in Jind, 20 in Rohtak, 18 in Panipat and 10 in Panchkula. He said that one person has died due to dengue in Ambala whereas no such incident has taken place in any other area of the State. He said that so far 3745 cases of malaria have been reported. Out of these, a maximum of 1656 cases of malaria were reported in Mewat and 524 in Yamunanagar.

        He said that Haryana has got affected due to spread of malaria and dengue in Delhi, but with readiness of Health Department and better medical services, the situation was under control. He said that people should follow the advisory of the Department and keep their surroundings neat and clean.

Chandigarh, September 18 – Taking further the Digital India Programme of Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, the Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal will inaugurate the e-Office System of Industrial Training Department on September 19, 2015 in Chandigarh.

        While giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that the Chief Minister had launched four major digital initiatives on the concluding day of Digital India Week programme last week. These included launching phase-I of PARIVARTAN School MIS portal, ITI online admission portal, Knowledge Lit Career- KLiC courses introduced by Haryana Knowledge Corporation Limited and implementation of digital university framework in Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.

        He said that with a view to ensure more use of IT, the government had observed December 25, 2014 as Good Governance Day and successfully launched CM window for redressal of grievances, e-registration, e-stamping and Aadhar link birth registration and also linked 164 services with online system so as to ensure hassle free delivery of services to people.

        The spokesman said that more than 1.3 lakh applicants have applied online for about 74,000 available seats in 74 different trades in 252 government ITIs during the current academic session. With this, the Industrial Training Department has become such department of the state where paper less working system has been adopted.

Chandigarh, September 18 – Haryana Government has notified the sale of Haryana Government Stock (Securities) of 10-year tenure for an aggregate amount of Rs. 1000 crore (Nominal).

A notification to this effect has been issued by the Finance Department, Haryana.

As per the notification, the proceeds of the loan will be utilized to finance State Plan Outlay in connection with the development programmes of the State Government.

        The auction of the government stock will be conducted by the Reserve Bank of India, at its Mumbai Office, Fort, Mumbai on September 22, 2015. Bids for the auction should be submitted in electronic format, on the Reserve Bank of India Core Banking Solution (E-Kuber) system on September 22, 2015. The competitive bids would be submitted electronically on the Reserve Bank of India Core Banking Solution (E-Kuber) between 10.30 a.m. and 12 p.m. and the non competitive bids between 10.30 a.m. and 11.30 a.m.

        The Government stock up to 10 per cent of the notified amount of the sale will be allotted to eligible individuals and institutions subject to a maximum limit of one per cent of the notified amount for a single bid as per the Revised Scheme for Non Competitive Bidding Facility in the auctions of State Government Securities of the General Notification.

The results of the auction would be displayed by the Reserve Bank of India on its website on the same day. Successful bidders will make payments on September 23, 2015 before close of banking hours by means of cash, banker’s cheque, pay order, demand draft payable at Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai or New Delhi or a cheque drawn on their account with Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai (Fort) or New Delhi. Interest will be paid on March 23 and September 23.

        The stock will be of 10-year tenure and the tenure of stock will commence on September 23, 2015. The loan will be repaid at par on September 23, 2025.

Chandigarh, September 18 – The office of the Accountant General (A and E), Haryana, has advised all the stakeholders to ensure that proper and complete correspondence address was mentioned in the pension papers being sent to the office.

        While giving this information here today, Accountant General, Mr. Karan Singh said that the copies of authorizations of retiral benefits were also sent to pensioners and family pensioners by Registered Post. In some cases, their personal copies do not reach them causing delay in timely payment of pensionary benefits. As observed, non-receipt of the personal copies was due to non availability of the retirees at the address for correspondence given in the pension papers or incomplete address.

        He said that the GP Fund statements for the year 2014-15 and status of GPF accounts from 2003-04 onwards have been uploaded on office website www.aghry.gov.in. The GP Fund subscribers can download their GPF statements through e-mode using their respective PIN following the instructions given on the website.

Chandigarh, September 18 – Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain has directed all Municipal Commissioners, Executive officers of Municipal Council and Secretaries of Municipality to launch a special campaign to prevent spread of dengue.

        In a statement issued here today, Mrs. Jain directed all concerned officers to ensure cleanliness of drains, prevent stagnation of water and avoid unnecessary watering in parks. She said that they should also maintain proper cleanliness in cities and make arrangements of fogging in coordination with concerned departments at such places where there was possibility of growth of mosquitoes.

        Apart from this, they have also been asked to carry out an awareness campaign on war footing to apprise the people about the benefit of covering underground water tanks and those installed at rooftop. She said that there should be no water logging in flowerpots, drains, streets and roads etc so as to prevent the mosquito breeding. Also, adequate quantity of kerosene oil or petrol should be poured at such places where it was not possible to drain water.

Chandigarh, September 18 – Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal has expressed grief over the sad demise of Mrs. Murti Devi, mother of Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister Rao Narbir Singh. She was 85. She is survived by two sons and four daughters.

          In a condolence message issued here today, the Chief Minister described Mrs. Murti Devi a pious lady who devoted her entire life for social works. Mr. Manohar Lal expressed sympathies with the members of bereaved family and prayed the Almighty that the departed soul might rest in peace.

          Father of Rao Narbir Singh late Rao Mahavir Singh and grandfather late Mohar Singh was also members of legislative assembly and remained in Haryana Cabinet.

Chandigarh, September 18 – Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal has expressed grief over the sad demise of Mr. Kailash Chand Sharma, Ex MLA and former Vice Chairman State Planning Board who breathed last at Apollo Hospital, Delhi. He was 66 and survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters.

          In a condolence message issued here today, the Chief Minister described Mr. Sharma a seasoned politician who had actively worked for welfare of poor people during his entire life. Chandigarh, September 18 – Haryana State Election Commission has directed all the Deputy Commissioners-cum-District Election Officers (Panchayat) that the nominations would be received as per the orders of the Supreme Court of India.

        While giving this information today, a spokesman of the Commission said that receipt of the nomination paper would be issued with remarks “Nomination received subject to outcome of W.P.C 671 of 2015 pending in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India”.
