Village Mentoring Project Lanched
Panchkula, 9 September
Dr. Dalip Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue Department Haryana inaugurated Brochure of Village Mentoring Project here today at mini secretariat. On this occasion, he said that the importance of Village Mentoring Project is to upgrade the socio-economic indicators of the village community. This will result in the upliftment of the village community as a whole. The project is a part of Panchkula district administration’s effort to strengthen and complement the various existing government programs.
Deputy Commissioner Vivek Atray said that Village Mentoring Project has been started with the efforts of the District Administration and Leading organizations naming Indian School of Business Mohali and Infosys. Indian School of Business Mohali adopted village Rajjipur while Infosys adopted village Moginand of the District. The purpose of adopting these villages is to educate the women about their rights, upgradation of their standard of living and mental status, so that women can fight against any sort of exploitation against her. Women Empowerment, girl education, heath of the women, sanitation are the key factors of the Village Mentoring Project.
On this occasion Ambala Division Commissioner, Neelam P. Kasni, ADC Hema Sharma, SDM Mamta Sharma, SDM Kalka Gauri Midda, CTM Radhika Singh and other members of the administration were also present.
