Adopt the concept of ‘Haryana Ek – Haryanvi Ek’
Chandigarh, August 30 – Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal has urged the people to unite and adopt the concept of ‘Haryana Ek – Haryanvi Ek’ to further accelerate the pace of development in the State.
The Chief Minister was addressing the “Pratibha Protsahan Avm Samman Samaroh” organised by Yadav Kalyan Sabha in Rewari today.
Mr Manohar Lal, who was the Chief Guest, honoured outstanding performers from various fields. They included meritorious students of Classes 10 and 10 plus two, as well as those selected for ITI, IIM, IAS and IPS. Similarly, Dr. O.P. Yadav was honoured for his contribution to the field of agricultural research, Sangeeta Yadav was honoured for her work in the field of education and Mr Virendra Yadav was commended for gallantry. Others honoured included Mamta Yadav for women empowerment, Dr Sushma for administrative sector, Dr. Rohtash for medicine, Dr. Manoj for social work, Dr. Anil for encouraging women education and Mr Vivek Rao, Pawan Yadav and Anand Yadav for assisting the Sabha.
Referring to the Yadav community, Mr Manohar Lal said that a platform should be provided to the youths so that they could study well and become a reason of pride for the country. “Following the path of ‘Haryana Ek – Haryanvi Ek’, the members belonging to all communities in Rewari should walk together on the path of development and brotherhood. Haryana is our state and Haryanvi our race,” he added.
The Chief Minister said that during his tour to the United States and Canada, he saw that foreigners were now expressing interest in investing in India. “If all people of Haryana together create an environment of healthy competition, NRIs as well as foreigners will also invest here,” he said.
Presiding over the function, Haryana Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Minister Mr Rao Narbir Singh expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and extended greetings to the people on Janmashtmi. Minister of State for Agriculture Mr Bikram Singh Yadav also spoke on the occasion.
Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal also laid the foundation stone of Maharaja Agrasen Bhawan being built by Agrawal Sabha at Rewari. The ceremony was also attended by Haryana Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Minister Mr Rao Narbir Singh and Mr J. P. Goenka, Chairman of Oriental Carbon and Chemicals Limited, among others.
